At Probate Solicitors London wherever possible we aim to work with the estate on a fixed fee basis meaning the executors and administrators can do all they can to ensure that they can demonstrate they have ensured the estate has been distributed fairly and economically. 

Our fees for dealing with a small estate worth up to £300,000.00 with no more than 2 Bank Accounts, 4 beneficiaries and just one property will be as follows:

When there is a will:

• 2% Plus VAT of the total value of Probate.
• £2000.00 Plus VAT fixed (plus disbursements) for each claim against the estate (where received)
• Example: The deceased’s estate entails 1 property worth £250,000.00, there are £45,000.00 worth of gifts within the estate.  There are 3 beneficiaries within the will and one claim is made against the estate by a Dependent.  Our fees will be £9480.00 including VAT (plus disbursements).

When the deceased dies intestate (without a will):

• 2.5% Plus VAT of the total value of Probate
• £3,000 Plus VAT fixed (plus disbursements) for each claim against the estate (where received)
• Example: The Deceased died intestate with 1 property worth £250,000.00 there is £45,000.00 cash to the distributed and there are 4 potential beneficiaries.  One person makes a claim against the estate as a Dependent.  Our fees will be £12,450.00 including VAT (plus disbursements)

What this service includes

The Probate Small Estate package includes the following work to be undertaken on behalf of the Executors or Administrators.

We take absolute responsibility for obtaining Probate or Letters of Administration on behalf of the estate including dealing with the Legal, property and estate administration, tax and any claims against the estate.  This includes:

An initial consultation with an experienced Probate Specialist either at our offices, over the phone or by skype/facetime.

Undertaking all Legal Formalities to obtain the Grant of Probate or Letter of Administration.

Defending or negotiating any claim against the estate from Dependents and providing full advices to Executors or Administrators of their obligations and personal Liabilities in dealing with distribution of the estate.  (Subject to an additional fee per claim as set out above.)

We will handle all affairs with HM Revenue and Customs on behalf of the Estate.

Free Wills for each Executor or Administrator including storage. (an additional charge of £95.00 plus VAT for mirrored wills)
